2:32 May the Lord punish him for the blood he shed; ¹  behind my father David’s back he struck down and murdered with the sword two men who were more innocent and morally upright than he ²  – Abner son of Ner, commander of Israel’s army, and Amasa son of Jether, commander of Judah’s army.

8:39 then listen from your heavenly dwelling place, forgive their sin, ³  and act favorably toward each one based on your evaluation of his motives. ⁴  (Indeed you are the only one who can correctly evaluate the motives of all people.) ⁵

The Lord Delivers Israel

20:13 Now a prophet visited King Ahab of Israel and said, “This is what the Lord says, ‘Do you see this huge army? ⁶  Look, I am going to hand it over to you this very day. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’”

1 Raja-raja 20:28

20:28 The prophet ⁷  visited the king of Israel and said, “This is what the Lord says: ‘Because the Syrians said, “The Lord is a god of the mountains and not a god of the valleys,” I will hand over to you this entire huge army. ⁸  Then you will know that I am the Lord.’”
